Discharge: After 1-2 days
Swelling: expect the swelling to increase in first 2-3 days, then it gradually decreases over a month
Maintain head end elevated to decrease swelling
Use ice compressions to decrease swelling
Pain: managed with pain releiving medications
Complete bed rest for 3 days, gradually can resume light activities. Avoid heavy exercise for 3 months
