DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal fillers have no effect on muscle and therefore no effect on wrinkles.  They add volume to the skin that hydrates and adds a degree of plumpness.

It can be used to plump lips, add volume to cheeks, temple region, contouring jaw, chin projection, nose reshaping and fill in the under-eye hollows.

Common areas treated with dermal fillers include:

• Cheeks and mid-face for youthful fullness
• Lips for volume and shape enhancement
• Nasolabial folds (smile lines)
• Under-eye hollows (tear troughs)
• Jawline and chin contouring
• Nose reshaping (non-surgical rhinoplasty)

• Dr. Chugh will assess your face to decide and customize a plan according your goals.
• To make the procedure pain free, topical anaesthetic ointment is applied.
• Filler is then slowly injected through very fine needle or cannula.

The complete procedure is generally over under half an hour.

Most fillers contain lidocaine, and numbing cream is applied for added comfort. Patients usually report only mild discomfort.

Most patients experience minimal swelling or redness, which subsides with gel / cream that we prescribe within 24–48 hours.

To achieve the best results, avoid:

• Heavy workouts for 24 hours
• Heat and sun exposure and saunas for a few days
• Massaging or pressing treated areas unless advised
• Alcohol for 2 days

You will feel more plump and smoothness immediately but it takes generally two weeks to see full result.

Results can last 6–18 months depending on the filler used and individual metabolism.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women, and individuals with certain allergies or infections, should avoid treatment.

Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme injection if needed.
